Philippe Chotteau is an agronomist and economist who graduated from AgroParisTech.
He has been Head of the Economics Department of the French Livestock Institute for 9 years, after having been responsible for international competitiveness analyses and the ‘watchdog’ for international trade negotiations.
He conducted analyses of ruminant sectors (meat and milk) in about thirty countries on all continents.
Every year, he organises conferences in Paris on the world markets for meat and milk.
He has just been appointed expert to the EU-Mercosur Trade Agreement Evaluation Committee set up by the French Government.
He regularly participates in the medium-term forecasting work of the EU Commission’s Directorate-General for Agriculture (DG AGRI).
